Our parish is supporting this ministry that meets an addresses the growing addictions of all types in the U.S., from drugs, alcohol and pornography to food, work, shopping and entertainment. Fr. Niko, a trained addiction counselor before becoming a priest, seeks to integrate the ancient wisdom of the Church (which called addictions “passions”) with the best of contemporary insights and developments from science, psychology and recovery movements like Alcoholics Anonymous. A member of our parish, related to someone with an addiction, has been greatly helped by his counsel and prayer. Unquestionably recommended to all who are not only suffering from some form of addiction, but also those who care about them – family, relatives, friends. This ministry meets at our parish every other Thursday evening at 7pm, and all meetings are confidential (see public calendar on our website – www.archangelsgoc.org) — Fr. Harry
