Dear Rev. Fr. Harry Pappas,
I am writing to let you know about an exciting new opportunity from Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology. This fall, we will offer a fully-online modality of our Master of Theological Studies (MTS) degree, allowing us to connect with students worldwide. The online MTS program is open to anyone with a bachelor’s degree. The on-campus MTS program will continue to be offered.
We are delighted to share our educational offerings with a whole new population of students who want to study theology, but whose circumstances do not permit them to move to our campus in Brookline. We are excited to be able to share our MTS and ThM degree programs with an ever-growing community of interested students.
The online MTS program is equivalent to the on-campus version of the same degree. It is comprised of 16 three-credit courses delivered asynchronously; there are eight required foundational courses, including
- Biblical Studies
- Church History
- Patrology
- Liturgics
- Dogmatic Theology
- Ecumenism/World Religions
Students also choose an area of concentration to devote at least four courses. Four open electives round out the 16-course curriculum.
We are accepting applications now on a rolling basis. Please contact your parishioners who might benefit from this online graduate degree in theological studies.
