I treasure the opportunity, since moving back East, to reconnect with this remarkable and unique Orthodox monastic community that includes both men and women. Their sheer humanity, as beautifully described by Fr. Michael Plekon in his book Hidden Holiness, is so easily discernible from the moment anyone arrives.
