The Department of Greek Education Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America is thrilled to announce that our free online Greek language course for adults has officially begun, attracting nearly 200 applicants from around the globe! This incredible response highlights the value of our program and the strong interest in connecting with Greek culture and language.
A heartfelt thank you goes to Leadership 100 for their generous support, as well as to the Academy of Science and Letters of Pontians, who are responsible for this program and are facilitating it for the second consecutive year. Last year, we welcomed over 250 applicants, and we are excited to see continued enthusiasm this year.
Under the guidance of His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros, we are proud to offer this unique educational opportunity that deepens participants’ connections to Greece’s rich traditions and history.
Language is a vital link to our cultural heritage, and our course provides essential skills in reading, writing, and speaking Greek. Whether you are a descendant of Greek immigrants or simply passionate about learning, this program is designed for you.
Although registration is now closed, we encourage interested individuals to explore in-person Greek language programs at local parishes if available. Face-to-face classes offer invaluable opportunities for cultural exchange and social interaction, further enriching the learning experience.
We look forward to welcoming our participants to this enriching adventure and are excited to witness the connections that will flourish through the study of the Greek language!
Thank you once again for your support, and stay tuned for updates as we progress through the course!
Conveying to you the blessing and love of His Eminence, our beloved Archbishop, I remain,
At your service in the Lord,
Fr. Elias
