NEW YORK – His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios of America, invited by the leaders of the Pan-Macedonian Association of U.S.A. visited the Pan-Macedonian Studies Center in Whitestone N.Y., Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018.
His Eminence took part in a meeting with PanMacedonian Association’s officers, past-presidents and other officials, where the upcoming Rally at the United Nations against the unacceptable use of the name of Macedonia by FYROM was discussed. The Rally for this important issue will be held on Sunday, March 18, 2018, from 12 noon to 3 p.m. at the park right next to the UN Plaza in New York City.
Archbishop Demetrios accepted the organizers’ invitation to participate in the rally and assured them that he would take the necessary steps to mobilize the communities of the Archdiocese and facilitate the participation of the people.
This rally is organized by the Pan-Macedonian Association of U.S.A. together with the Federation of Hellenic Societies of Greater New York and the Hellenic Congress of America, which is a tertiary organization consisting of national-level hellenic federations.
