IOTA is the International Orthodox Theologian Association, created after the Pan-Orthodox Synod in Crete in 2016 in order to bring together Orthodox theologians and scholars from around the world for a large conference every 4 years (2019 in Romania; 2023 in Greece; 2027 scheduled for Georgia), publish books and book reviews, and develop a pan-Orthodox network to serve the upbuilding of the Orthodox Church and contribute to ecumenical and interfaith dialogue (https://iota-web.org/).  I’ve now accepted a position on the Advisory Board and have been strongly supportive of this effort from its inception, including participation at both conferences, offering a paper, and leading a section on Scripture.  This short talk is one of many that were originally recorded in Volos, Greece a few months ago to expand our outreach to the general public.  Blessed by Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and Archbishop Elpidophoros, IOTA represents yet another movement of the Spirit in our times.
