A beautiful joint celebration of Greek Independence Day and the Feast of the Annunciation by raising the Greek flag at Town Hall. A very special thanks to to Mayor Caroline Simmons for her presence and reading of the proclamation, to Master of Ceremonies Dr. George Melikokis, Paidea Leader Mr. Christos Bakes for all his work in developing the Ampitheater & Museum of Sparta at the UCONN Storrs campus, to Frs. Evan and Fr. Harry Pappas, Bishop Athenagoras of Nazianzus, Chief Secretary of the Eparchial Synod and Director of the Department of Religious Education, and to all children and community members who joined!
