Dear Reverend Fathers,

I hope this message finds you well.

I am pleased to share that Ionian Village camp registration has officially opened this week and is off to a great start! We are also blessed to welcome our new IV Camp Director, Fr. Steven Klund, who brings a wealth of experience in youth ministry. As you all know, camping ministry remains one of the most effective ways to engage our youth in their faith. While each Metropolis in our Archdiocese offers its own wonderful camping programs, Ionian Village provides a unique opportunity for our young people to experience their faith and heritage in Greece. Many past participants have cherished their time at IV and carry unforgettable stories of spiritual and personal growth.

Camping ministry has long been an integral part of youth development within our Archdiocese, serving as a vital platform for spiritual formation, community building, and personal enrichment. Through immersive experiences and meaningful interactions, our youth deepen their faith in an engaging and transformative way.

I kindly ask for your support in promoting this National Youth Ministry by sharing the attached fliers via your parish email lists and youth advisors of your parish. This will ensure that any interested young people have the opportunity to participate in Ionian Village this season.

If you need any additional information, I would be happy to assist, or you may reach out directly to Fr. Steven Klund.

With gratitude for your continued support of our youth, I remain,

Faithfully yours,

Bishop Nektarios of Diokleia
Chancellor
Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America
