The OYM board members and staff recently met in Wichita, Kansas to discuss the organization’s progress on yearly goals set during the November 2024 board meeting. Major topics of this board meeting included the exciting progress on the upcoming What’s Your Ministry? online Orthodox resource hub and relationship-focused ministry course, both to be released later this year. The board also heard reports on the early successes of the newly-instated Chicagoland Ministry Support Coordinator position, the first of many similar positions that will be instated around the United States in the coming years.
OYM Board and Staff Members Celebrate Divine Liturgy May 2025
Staff and board members were blessed to end their time together with a Divine Liturgy at which three jurisdictions were represented, with OYM Episcopal Liaison Bishop Thomas (Antiochian Orthodox Christian Diocese of North America) and board members Archdeacon Justin Bosl (Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America) and Subdeacon Patrick (Jeremy) Pletnikoff (Orthodox Church in America) participating.
The trip included spiritually invigorating visits to Eighth Day Books and the Treehouse, and culminated in a Divine Liturgy at St. Mary Orthodox Church attended by board members and staff. “This was a very productive meeting,” says Eric Namee, Board Chairman of OYM. “OYM continues to grow and mature as an organization. We on the board were pleased to see the progress OYM’s staff has made on the organization’s goals and are excited for the benefits that Orthodox Christians across America will see from our efforts in the coming months and years.”
