What’s New This Week
Fr. Alex Goussetis speaks with Matushka Rozanne Rucker, who offers her many years of experience as a Marriage & Family Therapist. The conversation highlights the three pillars of parenting teens: consistent limit setting, strengthening emotional attachments, and improving communication. LISTEN HERE.
During conflict husband and wife may be tempted to point the finger at the other before even considering their own responsibility in the matter at hand. These wise words of Elder Thaddeus remind us to stop and consider our own thoughts and behaviors leading to the conflict before even thinking of our spouse’s responsibility.
15 Clergy and Clergy Wives Peer Group Facilitator’s from across the country came together last week for a 3-day retreat at St. Stephen’s Coptic Orthodox Retreat Center in Titusville, FL.
The participants attended multiple presentations and workshops covering a wide range of topics including: cultivating trust among small groups, how to spark meaningful conversations, the importance of self-care for those in ministry, and how to sort through challenging situations within peer groups.
Participants also enjoyed the hospitality and beautiful setting at the retreat center, the warmth of fellowship in Christ, and a chance to refresh bodies and souls while building resources and renewing their commitment to serve their fellow clergy and clergy wives.
Clergy and Clergy Wives Peer Groups are small groups of ministry leaders who join together for solidarity in their commitment to Christ, for growth in faith, and to foster healthy relationships with each other, their families, and their church families.
