“Forgetting what lies behind I strain forward to what lies ahead,
I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 3:13-14
Rev. Fathers and Esteemed Participants of the 2024 District Clergy Laity,
Christ is in our Midst!
With the blessing of His Eminence, we are very excited and look forward to seeing you at the Archdiocesan District Clergy-Laity Conference this Saturday, April 6th, at the Church of the Holy Resurrection in Brookville, New York.
Working together with the Office of the Archdiocesan District Chancellor, a Committee was established and challenged with the task of invigorating our local Clergy Laity Assembly and providing the parish delegates with practical and tangible ideas that can be implemented on the local parish level.
As such, this year’s assembly will include a presentation by Dr. Nick Kardaras who will speak about “practical and spiritual approaches that can be taken to counterbalance the negative effects of social media.” Each delegate will also have an opportunity to participate in smaller group discussions focusing on: Youth & Young Adult Ministry, Marriage Preparation & Continuing Enrichment, and Religious Education.
The conference will begin with Divine Liturgy to bless our efforts, goals, and deliberations. Divine Liturgy will begin at 8:30 am sharp!
