In April of 2018, Fr. Anastasios (Elekiah) Kihali, an Orthodox priest from Kenya, visited our parish to co-celebrate Liturgy, preach the sermon, and meet us during Coffee Hour about his ministry.  It was exhilarating due to his dynamic presence, vigorous preaching of the Gospel, and marvelous way of meeting people.  5 years later we can now see the practical fruit of this visit, thanks to a devoted member of our church who, in addition to being involved in philanthropic work in a variety of different countries for many years, took it upon herself to help.  Attached are the photos that show the erection of a new girls’ dormitory for the St Paul’s Godjope Hills Academy & Orphanage in the Nyanza region, which offers both day and boarding school education for boys and girls, along with an orphanage for children with no home or just one parent.  This member of our church (who wishes to remain anonymous) was deeply grateful for the financial contributions of many as an expression of God’s love for all, especially those the poor and suffering.  Our parish is privileged to play a small part in this effort, and we are quite proud of what she has done to galvanize support for this effort.  Here is a book this highly educated African priest has published:  https://www.amazon.com/Challenges-Facing-Orthodox-Church-Movements/dp/1949940152  We hope that Fr. Anastasios returns someday for another visit.  Thanks be to God for such inspiring work!  —Fr. Harry
