It was my joy and privilege to attend this annual Benefit Breakfast and represent our parish that has been supporting this remarkable, ecumenically sponsored organization to help immigrants transition to life in the U.S.  The keynote speaker, Luis Canalis (now an immigration lawyer in the Philadelphia area) gave moving testimony of his harrowing experience growing up in Honduras, a miraculous escape from being assassinated by a gang, and astonishing perseverance to come and stay in the U.S. – Fr. Harry

Thank you for supporting B1C at our Benefit Breakfast
Dear Fr. Harry,
After a two-year in-person event pause, we were truly honored to be joined by almost 400 supporters at our Spring Benefit Breakfast this week. Our staff, volunteers, participants, donors, and community leaders came together for an emotional and inspiring event to show collective support for our mission. Thank you, thank you!
All of us were extremely moved as we heard the captivating emotional stories shared by our speakers. Their empowering and heartfelt words vividly showed how challenging the immigrant journey can be – a journey that requires a tremendous amount of perseverance and determination. It also showed us what a difference a community and an organization like B1C can make to support the successful integration of immigrants.
Their words positively fueled us to continue our work with renewed vigor and dedication to making the immigrant journey to a new life easier. And thanks to your generous contributions, we can now create more impact!
Next week we look forward to sharing videos of each speaker so that you can pass on these heartfelt messages.
For those that were unable to attend, we’d like to share a few of the featured videos. We sincerely hope you may participate in-person next year!
Again, thank you to everyone who attended and made this event successful.
