News from Representative Himes

Friend,

During the pandemic, many restaurants in our community and across the country have struggled. Now there is a new program specifically designed to provide assistance to restaurants to keep their doors open called the Restaurant Revitalization Fund. We’re sending out this email to ensure Southwest Connecticut restaurants know this program is available. Congress created this program through the passage of the American Rescue Plan.

As restaurants continue to expand capacity and open fully, more people will be heading out to their neighborhood spots. This funding will allow restaurants to pay their mortgage and rent, keep employees on the payroll, and more. Check out the flyer attached to this email to learn more.

While all restaurants can apply now, businesses that are minority-owned, women-owned, veteran-owned, or economically disadvantaged are being processed first, so it’s important to apply as soon as possible.

Sincerely,

Jim
